what can i expect during the service?

Our 8:15 AM service provides an intimate worship experience in our Holmes Chapel. The 45-minute service offers times of prayer, hymn singing, scripture readings, and the same sermon that will be preached at the later 10:30 AM service. In addition, Communion is offered each Sunday during this 8:15 AM service.

Our 10:30 AM service follows a similar structure and is held in our historic sanctuary. Come as you are as our 40-voice choir leads the congregation to sing traditional and modern hymns and anthems. At times, this one-hour service includes our bell choir, and Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month. Immediately following this service, guests and members may choose to attend our weekly Meet & Mingle, a time of conversations and light refreshments.

We offer a dynamic children’s program, which takes place following the Children’s Sermon. Children are also welcome to remain in the sanctuary for worship.

how should i dress?

Come as you are! Attire ranges from jeans to business casual to suits - wear whatever makes you comfortable.

where do i park?

Our main parking lot is located on the south side of the church and can be accessed from Delaware Avenue. If the main lot is full, exit onto Summer Street and turn right. Additional parking is available in the United Way or Red Cross parking lots.

where do i enter the church?

If you park in one of the mentioned lots, enter through the gates and look for the handicapped-accessible entrance on the west side of the church, facing the Westminster Early Childhood Center. This entrance leads directly to the atrium, where you will receive a warm welcome. We recommend using this entrance.

Additional entrances are available on the Delaware Avenue side near the driveway and on the north side of the church, facing the United Way building.

There are several accessible parking spots along the south-side driveway. Assistance is available on Sunday mornings during the 10:30 AM service. Additional accessible parking spots can be found in the main parking lot and the United Way lot.

Is the church accessible for individuals with disabilities?

Yes, the west entrance and driveway entrance are both accessible. During worship, we offer hearing devices and large-print hymnals. Simply ask an usher, and they will be happy to assist you.

What can families with children expect?

Kids of all ages are welcome in Sunday School! Our Pastor and teachers make learning fun with activities designed just for them.

Childcare is available on Sundays (except during the summer and holidays) from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the third floor of the church building, accessible by elevator. Nursery care is specifically provided for children under three years old during the 10:30 AM service.

Children aged three and older are invited to join the worship service and sit with their families until the Children’s Sermon. Parents are welcome to sit near their child on the chancel steps or in the pews, and new families may also accompany their child to the classroom if they wish. After the service, children will be reunited with their parents in the Holmes Room, where fellowship and snacks are offered.

Children are also welcome to remain in the worship service at their parents’ discretion. “Wiggle Bags” containing quiet games and activities are available at the sanctuary entrance to help keep them engaged.
